Tailgating Times

This week, it was decided that we would have a tailgate after our game. Our game wasn't as grand as last week's however, we lost only by 2 points, and the entire game we were really close in points. As for injuries, I ran in front of my own team mate and was hit in the head, near my temple by what everyone calls a "bullet" pass (it's exactly as it sounds...the ball is thrown at a high velocity to another teammate from the QB.) I saw a bright light....not in a tunnel, but more of a large space and when I opened my eyes, everything came clear again. i sat out for a little while, as I regained some mobility in my neck. It was an accident...so no harm done...and I'm not one who leads on that they can't handle pain. It's like how guys think of pain...pain shows that you're weak...and i'm not weak...so I returned to the game. Later while running a play my knee cap came in contact with antoher teammate's knee cap...so today's game I came out with a few more accidents. Becky got a first down on a female play, meaning she caught the ball, and she was QB for a different female play and had a completed pass. She's pretty proud of herself with both plays. After the game we had our tailgate in the parking lot. Someone brought subs from subway, coolers of beer, coolers of sodas and iced tea, chips and other condiments. We all had a really fun time. Lots of people stood around and chatted, while others played catch or showed off their skills/abilities to one another. I decided this would be a good time to learn how to correctly throw the football with out it flying through the air, end over end. Tyan our main QB showed me how I could get a spin/spiral on the ball. I just needed to hold the ball on the laces, and his advice was pretty good. I was getting the ball to him, instead of to the ground first. I've found that I really enjoy playing football, I might actually go out and purchase a football at the end of the summer to keep my skill up to par.
