Expectations

"If you don't have standards for people to fulfill, when they finally get around to doing, going or being something new, then it's a good surprise." A phrase my cousin uses. A friend of hers would always be late or she could never count on him to show up or show up on time. Then she realized that she shouldn't expect him to come to an event and when/if he did...it was unexpected and she didn't have to worry/stress out if he'd be there or not.
