Out & About

Last night, I went out and celebrated my friend Erin's birthday in good ol' CR. We (Cathy, Austin, Nicole, Amy, & Erin) started out the evening by having dinner at Fiesta del Sol. Cathy dropped the line, "Put these three on one, because today's her birthday" (she pointed to herself, her husband and Erin as she told the waiter this.) Nearing the end of our dinner, about 6 waiters came out with huge sombreros and a little guitar. They placed the largest sombrero on Erin, then gave Cathy one, and someone then placed one on my head. Thank goodness, I had the camera to document what went down. The first picture was taken before they gave Erin the fried ice cream. The second picture was taken after Cathy tried part of the shell which the fried ice cream was served in. From the face she's making...the shell should not have been tried. She said it was bland and was lacking sugar. I refrained from trying it.

After dinner we headed to Erin's to drop off some cars so that we could car pool down town. I will have to say that I did more bar hopping than I've ever done in my life for one night. We started off at the Piano Lounge, only because they had the nicest restrooms (since both Cathy and Nicole needed to use them). We stayed and had one beverage and then headed out to broaden our horizons. Normally we just go to the Piano Lounge when we go out, but tonight was different. We decided to head to Lucky's on Second St. We stayed there until about 9:30pm. Cathy, Austin, and Amy headed home because Austin had to work in the morning. Which left Erin, Nicole and myself to roam the bars or CR.

Volume wasn't charging a cover so we headed there and had another beverage, then it was off to Bricks. Bricks was packed by the time we left. We thought about trying Teagan's which is located on the other side of Lucky's. However, after walking all the way down there, we turned around and went back to Dublin's, which is a little farther up from Bricks and Volume. All in all we had a really good time.
