Just a Little Snippit

Yesterday was quite the excursion. Got out and about 10 o'clock-ish. Took a water taxi from Jersey City to Pier 11 on the other side of Manhattan Island Then the parents wanted to "walk" the Brooklyn Bridge. Getting to the bridge was a hike Since the bridge is elevated, one must find where the bridge descends back to ground level for taking the scenic route across It took us about 40 or so minutes to cross. There seemed to be a photo shoot taking place at the top of the bridge. A woman wearing a wedding dress, many people with massive cameras, and a few other people holding extra stuff. Another person was holding a vintage bicycle with white ribbons...my guess is for a great photo opportunity.
That model must have been chilly since she's wearing a sweater. After getting off the bridge we were in search of a pizza place. After walking numerous blocks out of the way, a friendly guard at the United States Court House building directed us to our destination. The pizza was made in a stone coal heated oven. It had to have been the best pizza I've ever had in my life. All the ingredients were magnificent and very fresh. After the pizza place, it was on to the ice cream shop...I had a scoop of coffee flavored ice cream and it was delicious! We took another water taxi back to New York then headed back to Jersey for the rest of the afternoon.

Last night was the Yankee's game. The Metro was packed beyond belief. I've never seen so much Yankee's paraphernalia in my life. They are said to be dedicated to their team and I can vouch for them and say that they truly are. The seats were pretty amazing even though it took us 4 tries to get to the correct seats. First we were on the wrong side of the stadium, then the woman who was supposed to direct people to their seats told us to sit somewhere...where people were already seated. We almost made a young woman move because we thought we were in the right seats again, and finally after 3 incorrect seating placements, we had gotten our seating arrangement figured out. One would think that an employee of the stadium would have been able to correctly guide someone to their seats...whatever. This picture is from where we were sitting...isn't that a great shot?! The Yankee's won and life was good. We headed to a bar after wards, where Yankee's fans like to congregate.
