Serene Simple Scene

This evening was spent at an outdoor barbecue with live music on a private pond. The day had been in the 80's & the evening was turning out to be a wonderful end to a great day. They had a beach which had real sand...it was fine & soft, as if I should have been at a private beach on one of the coasts.

As we drove up to this property, I felt as though we were driving up a lane from a movie. Both sides were lined with trees and light posts every 15-20 feet apart. After parking the car, we got out and were welcomed by a brick lain patio. There were circular tables & chairs, a small tent with festive lights & a pianist & his keyboard. The main building was off to our right & we headed toward a smaller building which had a covered patio with more seating & a very large grill--ready to be used. Not to mention that there were about 17 groupings, consisting of 3 torches per set of tiki-torches which were spaced evenly throughout the premises.

The pond was man-made, which was evident by the lack of movement. This created great reflections, from every point around its' perimeter. The owners of this property had created a trail around the pond. The group I was with, decided to drink wine & walk, taking in the scenery, which was absolutely breath taking. The evening lasted up until 10pm. The overall evening was amazing. We sat around one of the fire pits on the beach and looked up at the cloudless sky and all the stars in the universe. It was a wonderful evening.
