The colors for her wedding were a monochromatic purple scheme...which turned out really great in the end. The dress sequence went, Amy in egg plant (she was the maid of honor), Erin in purple, Liz in a light lilac, I was in the Victorian lilac, then Kayla was in a regular lilac. We all had the same fabric, which probably helped a lot.
Cathy's outlook on everyone picking out the dresses was, "You can whatever style you want, it just has to be floor lenght, and you can't have the same color as someone else." Erin, Amy, and myself all ordered our dresses where Cathy had purchased her dress so we got a 15% discount on our dresses...thank goodness! I think Liz and Kayla ordered theirs from different bridal stores as well.

Back to the wedding, the ceremony had to have been one of the shortest ceremonies, I've been to. I'm definitely not complaining. The day started out by going to the reception hall and decorating, which we did in a record time of 30 minutes. Then it was off to get our hair and make-up done. Our hair took a lot longer than expected so we were late getting back to the church for pictures by an hour. But things went smoothly after that little hiccup in the schedule.
After the ceremony we headed out around town in a stretch H2, which Cathy's dad had rented for the bridal party, all 12 of us. The limo had champagne so we toasted with that and then decided that we wanted something else to drink and stopped at a Hy-Vee to pick up some Amaretto, sour mix, and beer. The groomsmen were all of Austin's friends from his childhood and they're beer drinkers.
