First Bridal Shower

The first bridal shower of 2008 was for Cathy. We had our dress alterations before the shower. We're pictured in our dresses before the they were altered. I squatted down so that I wouldn't be towering over Kayla and Amy. The theme for the shower was Hawaiian, so I dressed up and put a flower in my hair...well no one else got festive for the event. Originally, I was going to purchase something or purchase come Hawaiian print, but had ran out of time, energy and motivation. However, Cathy and Amy did wear purple, so they at least had that going for them.

Amy had ordered cookies from a website which were authentic Hawaiian cookies, Cathy's mom's house was decorated with Hawaiian party stuff, there were shell leis and flower leis to wear. The mix of people were people who knew Cathy's mom and then there were all of the bridesmaids. Cathy's mother in law got along well with all of us and sat near us for the remainder of the shower. She fit in well with our group of friends and she didn't know any of the other women. We did find out that having a wedding registry at Target means, you'll receive a lot of duplicates. Their system doesn't fair well when a lot of guests are buying items from a multitude of Target stores/making purchases online.
